Lee A. Henderson has over 30 years of legal experience with an emphasis on complex, sophisticated business issues, including both transactional and litigation matters. He has been in practice with Hessian & McKasy since 2002, as well as from 1985 to 1999. His general areas of practice include:

Recent highlights include a multi-million dollar settlement following a decade of litigation regarding rights of property owners adjacent to airports in Minnesota; a defense verdict on a million+ dollar claim related to new technology in the energy industry; and a multi-million dollar settlement for a privately-owned business challenging contract and warranty issues with a publicly-held manufacturer.

Mr. Henderson performs substantial ongoing work in real estate, general litigation, banking, insurance and corporate law. He has been published in legal periodicals, and has numerous speaking engagements at both legal and industry seminars.

Prior to moving to Minneapolis, Mr. Henderson served as a law clerk in the Office of the Counsel to the President of the United States (1979-1980) where he served as a member of the President’s legal staff. He was involved in a number of the issues of the day including the Iran Hostage Crisis, the boycott of the 1980 Moscow Olympics, and the early discussions about the propriety of a constitutional amendment to balance the federal budget.

He received his Juris Doctor in 1980 from the National Law Center at George Washington University, Washington D.C.
