Jake L. Lorence

Jake L. Lorence joined Hessian McKasy in October 2015 as a Law Clerk while in his third and final year of law school at William Mitchell College of Law. While at William Mitchell he focused on his legal studies on litigation participating in the Rosalie Wahl Moot Court, William C. Vis International Arbitration Competition, and was a member of the ABA Negotiation Team. Mr. Lorence is admitted to practice law in Minnesota. He has experience in both state and federal court representing clients in the Minnesota Court of Appeals, and working for a Minnesota District Federal Magistrate Judge while in law school. At Hessian & McKasy, Mr. Lorence works on a range of business, litigation and real estate matters. He helps clients with regulatory matters under ERISA and other federal statutes affecting health and welfare benefit plans as well as assisting clients with environmental due diligence arising in real estate matters.

Mr. Lorence received his J.D., summa cum laude, in 2016 from William Mitchell College of Law. Mr. Lorence received his B.A. in Business Management, cum laude, from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2013.
